One of my favourite directors as a youngster, Wes Craven, has changed his creative tact a couple of times over the years. As well as directing genre stalwarts like A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream, he's written a novel called Fountain Society and had creative input into expensive Las Vegas shows. Now he's turning his hand to comics.

According to Deadline.com, Craven has teamed with 30 Days of Night writer Steve Niles to release the comic, Coming of Rage. There's no word on the plot as-of-yet, but Craven will adapt it into a feature film at some point in the future. The director's last two movies were not his best; before Scream 4 he made the awful My Soul to Take - the first film he'd actually written in years as well as directed. But damn it, Craven has made the classics before and he can again.

We can judge from the cover that this is gonna be creepy as crap anyway...
