Another sequel to the groundbreaking slasher flick Scream has been announced as being in development by The Weinstein Company. Scream 4 will apparently "start afresh" which worries me immensely. Scream is one of my favourite films, and I think some people have forgotten the impact that film had - it was genuinely the Psycho of its day. A sequel brings mixed feelings as they pretty much bookended the franchise with the conclusion of the third flick. Also, worryingly, there is no word on if Wes Craven or scripter Kevin Williamson will be coming back. Chances are if they were going to be attached, they would probably be so already. What do we think of this? Do we really need another classic franchise reboot? The Halloween remake worked about as well as an underwater lighter; yet hasn’t deterred the money men. It's all sacrilege I tells ya *runs off into the woods screaming*
