Samuel L. Jackson has apparently mended his relationship with Marvel, and has signed a long-term deal to reprise his role as Nick Fury. According to the trades, the actor has signed on to appear in a possible NINE films, all tied into the Marvel universe, starting with Iron Man 2 - which starts lensing this summer for a 2010 release. Jackson had previously said he wouldn't be appearing in the film, as Marvel were being a bit stingy when it came to the dough - something Terrence Howard also complained about when he bounced from the project. But they must've thrown some serious green at him, because he's officially on board to play the leader of S.H.E.I.L.D who recruits Tony Stark, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk to open up cans of whoop-ass on all sorts of bad guys around the globe. Those folk who I saw "geek out" at the end of a screening in Cineworld, when Jackson appeared on screen at the end of the first film, can now breathe a sigh of relief.
