Recent entertainment.ie interviewee Russell Brand spoke to us below about some of the projects he had in development, but didn't mention this one. According to Deadline.com, the fledging thespian will star in the swashbuckling flick, Hawkwood.
Brand would play former real life dude, John Hawkwood, a talented swordsman who led a bunch of armies in the 1400s. He was also a bit of a ladies' man, and would get up on a piping hot radiator if it got cold enough - something that will evidently suit Brand's public persona down to the ground. It'll also add a bit of action into the mix, making it somewhat of a departure for the former TV Host.
He's doing a movie with his mate Matt Morgan after he wraps Arthur, and also has The Tempest due to open The Toronto Film Festival in September. Hawkwood has no helmer yet, so there's no clue on when it's slated for shooting.
