Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), William H. Macy (Fargo), Leslie Mann (KnockedUp) and James Spader (Boston Legal) have all been cast by rebel auteur Robert Rodriguez in his new film Shorts. According to Variety "Shorts is set in a suburb where all the houses look the same and everyone works for Black Box, manufacturer of the ultimate communication and do-it-all gadget. Chaos follows when an 11-year-old boy is hit in the head with a rainbow-colored rock that grants wishes to anyone who holds it”. Another kid’s film when we all want Sin City 2!? C’mon Rob, bring us some more beautifully realised graphic violence. I quite liked Planet Terror, with the explosions and gore and whatnot. The director is currently working on a TV series and film remake of Barbarella, both starring his new Mrs, Rose McGowan.
