Robert Pattinson has been declared the world's most handsome man. And you can't argue with science. Or can you..?
Pattinson would be known as the star of the 'Twilight' series and the next Batman.
He currently stars in 'The Lighthouse' and has led a varied, industrious career.
That being said, there are a lot of good-looking actors out there so what is it that makes him stand out?
The claim for his status comes from celebrity facial plastic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva. He reviewed the physical proportions of his face and found he came out on top compared to other male celebrities.
The future Bruce Wayne "was found to be 92.15% accurate to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi — which measures physical perfection."
"The list was compiled using the latest computerized mapping techniques,” De Silva wrote in an Instagram post. “Robert Pattinson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection."
According to the data, Henry Cavill came second with 91.08%, Bradley Cooper was third with 91.08%, and Brad Pitt was fourth with 90.51%.
George Clooney previously held the title of world's most handsome man. But he has slumped to fifth place, "largely because of the effect of ageing", which is a tad harsh.
David Beckham came in seventh at 88.96%. He scored highest for the most chiseled chin in the top ten, though, and he "had a near-perfect ratio in the size of his nose and his lips."
So there you have it. Science.
