Cute old people movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is getting a sequel and silver fox Richard Gere is reportedly in talks to star (wait - does this mean that he is officially old now. We're not ready for him to step into Grandad territory - not sure this is actually a good idea now).

The first film centred on a bunch of charmingly eccentric British chums who upped sticks to spend their golden years in India and original stars Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Penelope Wilton and Bill Nighy are all expected to make a return.

It was a surprise hit and grossed well over its budget making a sequel inevitable really.

Gere recently starred in Arbitrage (see the trailer below) where he kept up his rep as dashing older man. Let's just hope they don't exaggerate his wrinkles and give him a zimmer frame in Marigold or, well, we simply won't be going to see it.
