Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman are to team up on a body swap comedy from the writers of The Hangover, and the director of Wedding Crashers. That might sound like a laugh riot, but bear this in mind: the writers officially credited with the writing gig on The Hangover are Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, but Todd Phillips brought in another writer who redid the script to his liking, but wasn't credited; while Dobkin followed up Wedding Crashers with the flop, but sometimes fun Fred Claus. So brandishing those two hit movies names on the poster is imminent, regardless.

Apparently the film, titled The Change-Up, will see Reynolds play a manchild, and Bateman a pedantic married chap, happy with his lot. Then, inexplicably, they switch bodies and drama/comedy ensues. Sounds utterly shite; but both of these guys are hugely talented comedians who know their way around a gag. Also, Dobkin let Vince Vaughn run riot in Wedding Crashers, giving the Swingers star room to improvise. If he does the same thing here, hilarity will undoubtedly ensue.

Reynolds is currently shooting The Green Hornet, while Bateman was last seen in Up In The Air.
