It's a highly unlikely prospect, mind, but Quentin Tarantino has firmly ruled out ever working with Disney again.
Back before the release of The Hateful Eight and The Force Awakens, Tarantino hit out at Disney and claimed that the studio forced staff at Los Angeles' famous Arclight Cinerama Dome to continue showing Star Wars: The Force Awakens instead of screening his 70mm Roadshow version of The Hateful Eight.
In an interview with Howard Stern in December, Tarantino called Disney's practices "extortionist". He's doubled down on these comments in a more recent interview, saying that he would never work for Disney again and that they "fucked me over and I made them a lot of money for Pulp Fiction, and that really is a bad way to treat a former employee who has worked very well for them."
At the time, Miramax was owned by the Disney Corporation and was responsible for distributing Pulp Fiction. Miramax was sold on by Disney in 2010, five years after the Weinsteins left to form The Weinstein Company. In fairness to Tarantino, it's pretty easy to say something like this and not fear the repercussions.
There's basically no chance whatsoever of Tarantino turning up to work on one of the Star Wars films or a Marvel film, for that matter. Saying he won't work for Disney is like saying PIXAR are never going to release hardcore pornography. One isn't the same as the other. As to whether or not the Arclight Cinerama Dome were forced to continue screening The Force Awakens is another story.
The Hateful Eight was pretty divisive with critics whereas The Force Awakens was a box-office and critical smash. Basically everyone wanted to see it. Is it that hard to believe that a cinema wanted to continue showing a film people were regularly turning up more than once to watch?
Of course it isn't.
