April 26th has been designated Aliens Day, in reference to LV-426, the planet which acts as the scenery for Aliens.

Although the actual release date was July 18th, the powers that be (probably Weyland-Yutani) decided that the 30th Anniversary for Aliens was being celebrated on that particular date. To discuss the film's impact, the casting, the soundtrack and just about everything there is to do with Aliens, we turned to Le Galaxie's Michael Pope.

As well as talking about the different castings made during the film - Michael Biehn replacing James Remar, for example - we also discussed David Fincher's Alien 3 and the differences between the Theatrical Cut and the Director's Cut and, as well, the age-old question of which is better - Alien or Aliens.
