If you were a fan of Savoy's Screen 1 (as we were) and it holds a special place in your heart, you'd better look away now.
Work has now officially begun on splitting the cinema screen in two, with the iconic red seats ripped up and the room itself ready to be partitioned. The photo, sent to us late last night, shows that construction work has now begun on the cinema screen. IMC have not yet given any indication when the screen will reopen.
