This may help all you coulrophobes out there. A reboot of Stephen King's 'It' is on the way to cinemas in September to make sure a whole new generation will be terrified of clowns.
The new look Pennywise was revealed some time ago and they have definitely kept him as scary as ever:
Yep, definitely nightmare material, however, to ease your fears, take a look at what the actor under the makeup looks like:
Not so scary now, ey?
Pennywise is played by 26-year-old Bill Skarsgård, who you may have seen previously in The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Anna Karenina or Netflix's Hemlock Grove.
Bill has the genes to help though and is the little brother of Big Little Lies and True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård and the son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård.
Bill takes over the cover of Dazed this week and chatted to the magazine about playing Pennywise: "I wanted to create something that is very unsettling in terms of its unpredictability."
It seems he also freaked out a lot of the kids on set when filming too: "I come out as Pennywise, and these kids – young, normal kids – I saw the reaction that they had. Some of them were really intrigued, but some couldn't look at me, and some were shaking," he explained.
"So some of these kids got terrified and started to cry in the middle of the take, and then I realised, 'Holy shit. What am I doing? What is this? This is horrible'."
We wouldn't blame them.
In case you want a reminder of just how terrifying Pennywise the Dancing Clown is, take a look at the new trailer for IT, which dropped today:
