Once upon a time clowns were hilarious, fun individuals who were dressed up silly and meant no harm to anyone. Then 1990 happened and Stephen King's 'It' appeared on our TV screens and left an entire generation terrified of these comic performers.

Now it's set to do the same again only this time it's getting a movie makeover, with Bill Skarsgard taking the lead as Pennywise. Back in July, we got a shady glimpse of what he would look like in this 2017 version, but now Entertainment Weekly have revealed a full length picture of the new clown that will be haunting your nightmares;

Mother of JAYSUS.

Emmy-winning costume designer Janie Bryant is the woman responsible for this terrifying vision, she described the new 'It' as 'definitely a clown from a different time'.

"There is almost a doll-like quality to the costume. The pants being short, the high waistline of the jacket, and the fit of the costume is a very important element. It gives the character a child-like quality."

It, directed by Andrés Muschietti, won't be in cinemas until Sept. 8, 2017, so you know, plenty of time to psych yourself up at least.
