Orlando Bloom has taken time out from perfecting his eyebrow acting, to sign on for a science fiction film, directed by that geezer behind Gattaca, Andrew Niccol. The flick will have a low budget for an epic of the sort ($24 million), and will also star snarly French actor Vincent Cassel and former Bond babe Olga Kurylenko. So, at least if it's as muck, as it quite probably will be (given the leading man), there will be some eye candy for the guys, dragged along by their girlfriends to see the latest Bloom masterpiece. The project is called The Cross, and will involve Bloom trying to get across a (futuristic) boarder - whilst frowning, probably.
