We all collectively rolled our eyes when the Point Break remake was announced, and the first trailer was a little bit stale and didn't have any of the verve or humour of the original.
We're not discounting it, mind, but it does strikes as more than a little flat.
As you'd expect, fan reaction to it hasn't been great either. But now, one of the lead cast members in the original has waded into the discussion.
Lori Petty, who played love interest Tyler Endicott in the 1991 original and is currently starring in Orange Is The New Black, hasn't held back on her opinion regarding the remake.
"I think it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard," said Petty in a recent interview.
"I got a phone call from my manager: 'why did you dis the new Point Break?' Because that's bullshit. That's some stupid shit right there!"
That's pretty damning, in fairness. But what does Anthony Keidis think of it? Or Gary Busey, for that matter?
