Warner Bros. have figured out a way to keep The Dark Night helmer Chris Nolan in their family; by giving him however much money he wants, for whatever film he wants, so he'll come back and do another Batman sequel. The studio has bought what Variety calls "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind" called Inception, for a figure believed to be in the high seven figure category. Nolan wrote the script himself, which means he's bagged that deal just for his writing, and will also get a fee for helming the project. The production is ready to go, and will begin shooting this summer, for a tentpole 2010 release. No word on possible casting yet, but expect Christian Bale's name to be bounced around, as he's starred in Nolan's last three pictures.
