James Wan and Jason Blum's upcoming release is sure to pack out cinemas in January.

Killer best friend 'M3GAN' gets a new trailer, which shows off a more fun (yet still creepy-as-hell) side to the robotic toy.

We've all seen those hair-raising dance videos of the robot over the past few months, and now we only have little under a month to go until we get to see the full horror film unfold in cinemas.

'Get Out' star Allison Williams plays toy-company roboticist Gemma, who face-palmingly decides to bring her latest prototype home to Cady (played by 'The Haunting of Hill House' break-out star Violet McGraw) in an attempt to help the young girl realise she's at last found a friend. As you might imagine, everything starts to turn a bit sour, with M3GAN becoming over-protective of her new friend, and creepy robot begins to turn into killer robot.

Director Gerard Johnstone has helmed 'M3GAN', which is produced by two of the biggest horror minds around right now: James Wan, known for the 'Saw', 'The Conjuring', 'Annabelle' and 'Insidious' franchises; and Jason Blum, the producer of 'Sinister', 'The Purge', 'Paranormal Activity' and countless other horrifying franchises.

The film also stars Ronny Chieng ('Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'), Brian Jordan Alvarez ('Will & Grace'), Jen Van Epps ('Cowboy Bebop'), Lori Dungey ('The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring') and Stephane Garneau-Monten ('Straight Forward').

She’s more than just a toy. She’s part of the family. M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma, M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady, Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.

'M3GAN' hits cinemas on January 6.
