Oscar-winner Denzel Washington looks set to star in Book of Eli, a post-apocalyptic drama to be directed by brothers Allen and Albert Hughes. Washington will play the one person in a ravaged not-too-distant future who holds the key to redemption for society. Joel Silver will produce, so expect plenty of explosions and at least six scantily clad women. This will be the Hughes Bros. first dramatic outing since 2001's Johnny Depp starring From Hell. Book of Eli will be written by Gary Whitta (AKIRA) and Anthony Peckham, who penned the upcoming Clint Eastwood film The Human Factor along with the next Sherlock Holmes movie.
