'The Breakfast Club' is one of the most defining films of the 1980s, and one of John Hughes' biggest successes.

However, the 'Brat Pack' classic about a group of wildly different teenagers in Saturday morning detention may not have aged as well as some of Hughes's other movies - at least according to its star, Molly Ringwald.

Ringwald, who also starred in 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Sixteen Candles', played the privileged Claire Standish in the film, who was nicknamed 'Princess' by her fellow teens. She said that she re-watched the 1985 film recently with her 21-year-old daughter, and noticed a few things about it.

"There is a lot that I really love about the movie but there are elements that haven’t aged well - like Judd Nelson’s character, John Bender, who essentially sexually harasses my character," she told The Times. "I’m glad we’re able to look at that and say things are truly different now."

In a recent interview with Variety, Ringwald also revealed that she met with 'Silence of the Lambs' director Jonathan Demme to discuss the role of FBI agent Clarice Starling - but was "ultimately too young". The role, of course, went to Jodie Foster.

Ringwald was most recently seen in a small role in 'The Bear'.
