It looks like Matt Damon is joining the cast of the latest 'Thor' movie.

Titled 'Thor: Love and Thunder', the latest flick following the God of Thunder already has a star-filled cast.

Chris Hemsworth is back as the titular superhero, joined by Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.

Christian Bale makes his MCU debut in the movie as bad guy Gorr the God Butcher.

Returning faces include Thor's allies Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander).

The Guardians of the Galaxy will also pop up, including Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Groot (Vin Diesel).

Taika Waititi, who penned and directed 'Thor: Ragnarok' to great success, is back at the helm, and reprising his character, Korg,

Speaking of 'Ragnarok', Matt Damon previously made a cameo in it as an Asgardian actor playing Loki in a play.

Here's a reminder.


It is unknown whether he will play the same role in this latest installment.

In fact Marvel haven't officially announced the casting full stop.

However multiple Australian news outlets have reported Damon recently flew into Sydney, where he's said to be staying for a number of months.

He is quarantining with his family there ahead of the 'Thor 4' shoot.

The starting date for filming has yet to be announced.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' has a release date of February 11, 2022.
