Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have long talked about reuniting properly on screen for the first time since Dogma. At when news broke last year of Baseball movie, The Trade, it seemed like that might happen.
Ben and Casey Affleck were going to write the true-life film about wife-swapping in the Yankees team during the 70s - with Ben starring and directing opposite his best bud - but that may now change around a little. Ben told MTV News: "I don't know how it'll come together, acting and directing, but Casey and I have decided to write it together. Once the script's kind of ready, then it’s like: Who's doing what? What's the time frame? Matt, me, Casey directing? Particularly for Matt, he's had this extraordinary career where he's worked with these great directors. He's a great director who just hasn't directed a movie" said The Town director.
Ben Affleck is more in demand now than either his brother, or Damon, with The Bourne Identity star in desperate need of a hit after Invictus and Green Zone performed poorly at the box-office. Doesn't make him any less of a good actor, but working with Ben, especially in a directorial capacity could be a wise move right now.
