"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology."

And thus began one of the 1970's greatest TV characters, Col. Steve Austin as the Six Million Dollar Man and that shin-nininininin noise that we all made when we jumped in the air.

Good times.

So, Peter Berg, director of Lone Survivor (not bad) and Battleship (SWEET JESUS NO) has teamed up with Mark Wahlberg to bring the Six Million Dollar Man back. Except now, it's the Six BILLION Dollar Man because, y'know, inflation and stuff.

The TV-to-film transition hasn't been easy, as the film has had a number of possible scripts, stars and directors attached. That's all changed as both Berg and Wahlberg are wiping the slate clean and starting fresh with a new script and concept.

How do we feel about Six Million Dollar Man getting a big-screen adaptation? In all fairness, it's a decent enough idea and the concept of a man rebuilt by technology is interesting.

Mark Wahlberg, though? Not so much. If someone like, say, Aaron Eckhart was involved who looked like the original and had that all-American quality - great. Wahlberg, on the other hand, we have had time separating him from The Depahted (we misspelled that on purpose) and his other work.
