It certainly feels like a fantasy world in Hollywood today. Doppelgängers Emma Mackey and Margot Robbie have been cast in the live-action 'Barbie' film by Warner Bros.

If you're a fan of 'Sex Education', you probably made the almost identical connection between the ladies a long time ago like the folk on Twitter. Emma Mackey is the spitting image of the A-list beauty. We're glad they're finally putting the non-biological twins and their unbelievable talent to good use, in the name of Mattel.

But it's been some time coming and the internet will probably take some credit for the conception of the pairing. Peep the date on the tweet.

Robbie is set to play Barbie, of course, and fans reckon that Mackey will be playing Skipper, Barbie's younger sister. Seems pretty legit to us.

Since it's 2022 and a "bimbo" can be a him now, they've cast goldilocks Ryan Gosling as Barbie's preppy boyfriend, Ken. Divine. Will Ferrell has been cast as CEO of a toy company. Why does that give us evil vibes?

The rest of the cast is just as exciting to hear about; 'Ugly Betty' star America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon of 'Ghostbusters', the 'Shang-Chi' Simu Liu, and Alexandra Ship AKA Storm from 'X-Men: Apocalypse'.

Keep your eyes peeled for the release date of this film scripted and directed by Greta Gerwig with co-writer Noah Baumbach.
