In what could be an inspired piece of hiring by Sony Pictures, The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller are in talks to direct Ghostbusters 3.
While we obviously didn’t see this one coming, if it does materialise, they are an absolutely fantastic choice - both tonally and in terms of the success their films have already had.
Deadline editor Nikki Finke broke the apparent news via her Twitter.

The lads have just had a mammoth hit with LEGO, and are in post production on 22 Jump Street, which looks great.
If this happens, expect big comedic names to become attached - everyone wants to work with those guys.
