He's going to need a different set of particular skills for this one.

It's going to be a family affair for Ballymena man Liam Neeson's next role as he's been cast alongside his son Micheál Richardson. The pair will star in the directorial debut of Dunkirk actor James D'Arcy.

'Made in Italy' is a comedy about a Bohemian London artist, played by Neeson, who returns to Italy with his estranged son, Richardson, to sell a house left by his late wife. The script was also written by D'arcy and production is due to commence in Italy in April, 2019. Bill Nighy and Jack Lowden were originally slated to play the roles.

“It has been exciting to see this popular screenplay and project really mature and take shape this year; and with Liam and Micheál playing a father and son facing challenges both emotional and comedic in Tuscany, we are in for a very special treat," said HanWay Films managing director Gabrielle Stewart.

Micheál, who took his mothers surname- the late actress Natasha Richardson- has already had minor roles in movies like Anchorman 2, Big Dogs and Vox Lux but this will be his most prominent role to date. You can see his full bio and acting family tree here.

Neeson, who seems to be slowly stepping away from the action roles, is not known for his comedy chops but if his appearance on Life's Too Short is anything to go by, we're in for a treat.

Keep an eye out for 'Made in Italy'.
