John Waters is known for making some seriously mental films; but the man is a tour de force of camp, and you have to admire his insistence on making the movies that he wants to make. Well, the director has signed up fellow mentalist Johnny Knoxville and indie starlet Parker Posey for his latest cinematic endeavour "Fruitcake". According to The Hollywood Reporter the plot is officially under wraps, but is said to centre on the title character, a boy named after his favourite dessert. He bolts from home after his parents are caught shoplifting meat (that sounds like a messed-up sexual term), and shacks up with two gay men. No word yet on who Knoxville or Posey would play, but you’d assume the folks. That sounds bonkers - who wouldn’t want to see it?
