There has been much talk of a sequel to Kick Ass, but the original (and quite brilliant) flick didn't make enough clams to make it an outright certainty. But, according to the creator of the comic book series, Mark Millar, there is indeed a sequel happening and it's filming this summer.

Millar told Scottish paper The Daily Record, "We shoot Kick-Ass 2 and American Jesus this summer." Of the latter production he said, "It is the reverse of the Omen, which is about a kid who finds out he is the anti-Christ. This is a kid who finds out he is Jesus Christ." Both Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman have committed to another X-Men film, so they're out of any possible Kick Ass sequel.

Apparently there's a new writer and director circling it, but I can't see it shooting this summer - as much as I'd love to see another one. If any news does break, you'll find it here first.
