Star Trek star Karl Urban is reportedly set to play Judge Dredd in an upcoming reboot of the still popular comic book character, with Vantage Point helmer Pete Travis calling the shots.
According to Bleedingcool.com, this film will be a much more faithful adaptation than the 90s Sylvester Stallone version, where he *inhales air deeply* took his helmet off. Actually, it was just kind of crap, and not a very good action movie in general, hence it being a massive flop. Urban will apparently not take off his helmet, and thank god for that.
I thought Vantage Point was awful, but it was more the structure of that film that vexed me, not so much the direction. This will be released in 2012 at some point.
