Justin Timberlake has reportedly been offered one of the lead roles in the Coen Brothers' highly anticipated follow up to True Grit, the folk music flick Inside Llewyn Davis.

According to Variety, the star, who is currently headlining In Time opposite Amanda Seyfried, has apparently been offered the role of a man who competes with Oscar Isaac for the affections of one Carey Mulligan. John Goodman just joined the production also. It's thus far unclear if Timberlake will agree to star, but every actor in Hollywood would kill the work with The Coen's; never mind them and David Fincher within a year or two of each other.

I'm still not sold on Timberlake as a leading man. Friends with Benefits was all about charm, and he was solid in that and The Social Network, but I've yet to see genuine proof of him rivalling the Ryan Gosling's and Bradley Cooper's of this world. Granted, a starring role in a Coen Brother's movie would help.
