How many dinosaur related foibles can you really have, you might ask? It turns out, approximately four, according to Jurassic Park creators. The next sequel to be released in the series is going to honour the previous three that came before it, according to director Colin Trevorrow. The Safety Not Guaranteed filmmaker explained the aim of the film, saying it has to be both an ode to those before it and also simultaneously brand new.

Speaking to the team at Schmoes Know, Trevorrow went on to acknowledge the depth of fan love (and carefully tiptoeing around calling his fans ageing), saying 'We are very aware of how much a certain generation especially cares about this movie and we talk about it all the time and really the conversation is: It’s not about us, it’s not about our careers, it’s how do we make something that can stand with the first one'.

He went on to congratulate Steven Spielberg on all of his past achievements, acknowledging that 'It's incredible to have Steven, who's done this for decades and has such an incredible filmic knowledge and just understands the language of the story in a way that for us is very refreshing. It's not like getting notes from a studio executive, it's really just trying to crack this and make it the best it can be.' Well said Trevorrow, now give us some raging dinosaurs on the loose.
