It's the peak of the summer, and Dublin city is crawling with stars.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been spotted in Dublin filming a brand new movie with Eve Hewson this week.

Filming a musical called 'Flora and Son', the stars were spotted filming scenes with guitars in hand in Griffith Park in North Dublin yesterday (Wednesday).

The pair were snapped by photographer Frank Malone, who shared some pictures on his social media.

The musical comes from famed director John Carney, who is known for 'Once', 'Sing Street' and Prime Video's 'Modern Love' anthology series.

The film crew were also spotted filming at two school locations around the county. Plot details about 'Flora and Son' are kept under wraps for now, but expect to hear some more about the feature in the near future.

So, if you manage to spot Joseph Gordon-Levitt bopping around Dublin, be sure to let us know. The 41-year-old's first big acting break arrived when he took on the role of Tommy in '3rd Rock From The Sun', and since then he's starred in 'Inception', '500 Days of Summer' and will also voice Jiminy Cricket in Disney+'s live-action 'Pinocchio'.

Eve Hewson had a starring role in the TV series 'The Nick' before making her way to the big screen in 'Robin Hood'. Since then she's stuck to TV, playing a very creepy Adele in Netflix's 'Behind Her Eyes' and she's also one of the main cast of Sharon Horgan's next comedy series 'Bad Sisters', set for release on Apple TV+ next month. Sarah Greene, Eva Birthistle, Anne-Marie Duff and Brian Gleeson also co-star in the dark comedy.
