A biopic of John Lennon is about to head into casting mode with a script from Control writer Matt Greenhalgh, which will apparently focus on "Lennon's childhood and subsequent journey to icon status." The biopic will be directed by Sam Taylor-Wood who will make her feature debut with the film having helmed a series of award winning short flicks. I think we should start a campaign to get Paul Rudd to play Lennon. His impression in Walk Hard was one of the funniest things we've seen in months. Also, how about one of those whistling electric flowers to play Paul McCartney?
