I've made no secret of the fact that Warrior was my favourite movie of 2011, with its impressive performances also some of the best of the year. Now, one of the givers of those great performances, Aussie actor Joel Edgerton, has gone into writing and already sold a script to a studio.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Edgerton has co-written the script One Night Stand and will also serve as a producer on the production - although there is no word yet on if he'll star. The film apparently gives "an honest look at a man and a woman in the aftermath of a one night stand." Jesus, for most people that's a very short space of time. If it was set in Copper Face Jacks it would an instant comedy. New Regency have purchased the script anyway.

Edgerton is blowing up in a big way; he's got The Great Gatsby and an untitled Navy Seal drama from Oscar winning director Katherine Bigelow due this year already.
