He is one of the most celebrated film directors of all time, but not everyone is a fan of Martin Scorsese - including one of his fellow directors.

Of course, Joe Russo has history with the 'Killers of the Flower Moon' director after Scorsese outlined his issues with big film franchises like those made by Marvel a few years back.

Russo, who directed 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'Avengers: Infinity War', clearly knows how to hold a grudge as he posted a video to social media that made a jibe at Scorsese - although it has backfired somewhat after fans rushed to the latter's defence.

If you follow Scorsese on social media, you'll know that his daughter Francesca regularly ropes him into various Tik Tok challenges and amusing videos. A recent one saw him 'auditioning' his mini schnauzer, Oscar, for a role - a sweet video which went viral.

However, Russo saw it as an opportunity to get even with Scorsese after he responded with his own video, which was captioned "It appears we have the same muse… @martinscorsese_",

"Aww look, he’s got a schnauzer! I love schnauzers," says Russo in the video. "And his name is Oscar. That’s really cute."

He then turns to his own dog, and says "Ok come on, Box Office."

However, many slammed Russo's seemingly good-natured jibe, with film critic Louis Peitzman declaring "In 50 years no one will know who Joe Russo is", and Toonami's Jason DeMarco sneering: "Joe Russo took hundreds of millions from Netflix to make whatever he wanted, and came up with…’The Grey Man."
