The very talented Jim Sturgess has signed on to voice a character in Watchmen and 300 director Zack Snyder's  animated tale Guardians of Ga'Hoole. The film is already in production in Australia, and has also added Geoffrey Rush, Transformers' Rachael Taylor and 300's David Wenham as further vocal talent. The film is based around a popular series of books by Kathryn Lasky, about a good owl, who is taken prisoner by some wrong sort owls, and brainwashed into becoming a soldier for them. But he, along with some other captives, plans to break free. It all sounds very interesting, and I'm surprised, given that it's directed by Snyder, that it has managed to stay under the radar this long. Still, that's just all the more reason to be intrigued. We'll have a video interview with Jim Sturgess for his latest film, 50 Dead Men Walking, live for you in a few weeks.
