The increasingly prolific Jessica Chastain will play much loved Brit, Princess Diana, in a film that will focus on her affair with heart surgeon, Dr. Hasnat Kahn.
According to Thompson on Hollywood (via Collider), the flick will be called Caught in Flight and Downfall director Oliver Hirschbiegel will call the shots. Diana had an affair with Kahn that apparently lasted two years, from 1995. The doctor never spoke about their relationship until an interview with The Telegraph in 2008. The script apparently does not portray the princess in the kindest light; she was with Prince Charles when the affair started, and was apparently heart broken when Kahn ended it. In the film she will appear to "stalk" her former lover.
Hirschbiegel last directed the Northern Irish centring flick, Five Minutes of Heaven and knows how to stir the dramatics. I love Chastain as an actress; she was great in The Help and Tree of Life. This one has "controversial" written all over it anyhow.
