Jesse Eisenberg is really looking forward to returning to acting and he's revealed his next role will be as a Sasquatch.

When you think of a Jesse Eisenberg role, it's probably as far from a cryptozoological forest-dwelling ape as you could possibly imagine. But, The 38-year-old seems dead-set on taking on a new challenge in his acting career.

Speaking to Variety, Eisenberg chatted about his stint as a director and his unconventional return to acting. He reveals his next role will come in the form of a Zellner brothers film.

“I play a Sasquatch," the 'Zombieland' star said. "Full makeup, full body hair, no lines. I grunt, but no lines."

Eisenberg added that he is "so looking forward to this." And honestly, so are we.

While not much else is known about the mysterious Sasquatch film, we do know that the directing duo has explored the world of Bigfoot before. They were nominated for a Sundance award for their 2011 short film 'Sasquatch Birth Journal 2'. The film is as straightforward as it seems and follows a Bigfoot giving birth in a tree.

Eisenberg and the Zellners have also worked together before. The actor starred alongside David Zellner in the 2019 comedy 'The Art of Self Defence'. Nathan Zellner, the other half of the directing duo, served as executive producer on the movie.

Eisenberg is currently promoting his directorial debut 'When You Finish Saving the World.' The movie, which was also written by Eisenberg, stars Julianne Moore and 'Stranger Things' star Finn Wolfhard as mother and son.
