We're still a bit frazzled from the champers we drank on account of WINNING THE INTERNET (!!!!) last night, so we'll keep these casting news bites short and sweet.

1. Amanda Seyfried and Patrick Dempsey have just signed on to play a couple expecting their first baby in Wonderful Tonight. We'd never have matched these two together; Seyfried's still ideal casting for a teenage role while we're having a hard time accepting Dempsey as anyone other than Dr McDreamy. Wonderful Tonight takes place around a one-night-stand that, you guesssed it, lead to a baby. In a story that sounds awfully similar to Knocked Up, the pair soon begin to clash over what they want for the baby's future.

2. In more exciting news, Colin Firth and Michael Fassbender have just signed on the dotted line for Genius, a literary biopic about the life of Thomas Wolfe. From a script penned by Skyfall writer John Logan (adapted from the book, Max Perkins: Editor of Genius) Fassbender will play Wolfe while Firth wil take on the role of the eponymous literary agent with whom Wolfe shared a great relationship.

"John Logan, Colin Firth and Michael Fassbender is an extraordinary line-up to work with, and we are particularly delighted to bring Glen Basner and all at FilmNation onto the team to join us as we move forward," said both Grandage and producer James Bierman. Well lads, we couldn't agree more. Excitement!

3. Jamie Foxx is to play the villain in The Amazing Spiderman 2. Well it's not confirmed, but he's in talks. All going well, Foxx will take on the role of Electro, one of Spiderman's longest standing nemisis' having first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #9 in 1964. It seems the Django Unchained actor has already been getting in the mood, having tweeted: "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."
