I had the pleasure of speaking to the cast of the brilliant Pineapple Express today and quizzed Mr James Franco on if he's taking over from Ben Affleck in the Jack Ryan film - that was to be helmed by his Spiderman director Sam Raimi. He said: "We've (him and Rami) never had one conversation about it" and also added that "I don't even think Sam is doing that anymore". So there ya have it from the horses mouth people, Franco will not be playing Jack Ryan, and it looks like Raimi isn't involved anymore either.
