ERMAGHERRRRRD.

Finally, something slightly more concrete than all the wishy washy rumours that have been floating around, tempting and teasing us about which Hollywood dreamboat will be bringing an unsuspecting Anastasia into their red room of pain. Henry Cavil is one such actor linked to the role of Christian and Grey and... wait for it.... he says... 'It could happen'. Hell to the YEAH!

OK, I'll calm down now. It's just that the books, in my humble opinion, went rather downhill after the first few chapters so I'm hoping that this will be one of the few book to movie adaptations where the movie actually supersedes the book; with someone as chiseled and talented as Henry Cavil in the lead - he's freakin' Superman for crying out loud - this is hardly a stretch of the imagination.

In a recent chinwag with Details, Cavill was asked if he would like playing a character as dark and intense (and slightly sociophatic) as Christian.

"Whether that happens, that decision will be made at the time it has to be made. It would be a very different kind of thing than Man of Steel."

So he's not taking the piss, like many other linked actors have done so far; he's genuinely insinuating that it may happen, which therefore implies he's very much in the running for the role. Good enough for us.

Making us even MORE convinced that Henry Cavil is the man for this role is this fanmade video featuring a self-penned song by Irish artist Corrina Jaye. Give it a listen, it's rather good! The video was made by Dann Barba - the original 50 Shades of Grey trailer girl - whose previous trailer is the most viewed of all fanmade Fifty Shades trailers, nearing 4 million hits on YouTube. Our very own Corrina Jaye sent her song "Dark Room" inspired by - you guessed it - 50 Shades shortly after it was produced.  Dana loved it so much, so she built a brand new trailer with Corrina herself making a cameo appearance. So, if Dark Room makes it onto the movie's soundtrack, that could call for an official Irish premiere, with Mr Cavil himself in attendance. Getting ahead of myself? Yes, probably.
