We do love a bit of Channing Tatum of a Monday morning, so imagine our surprise when we heard the Step Up and Magic Mike star was apparently gearing up for a new rom-com that director Pail Feig (Bridesmaids) says will "turn the rom-com genre on its head".

As per CinemaBlend, Tatum has reportedly just signed on to star alongside John Milhiser (don't worry, we don't know either, he's new to Saturday Night Live apparently) in the film which Feig (who you'll all know best as Mr Poole from Sabrina The Teenage Witch) will helm.

The project doesn't have a title just yet, but the story reportedly revolves around an average-looking guy who becomes romantically involved with a very attractive man. No prizes for guessing who Channing will play...

It marks a big departure from the likes of Magic Mike anyway, eh? Of course Channing's not the only male stripper film-alum taking on a role which sees him falling for the opposite sex either: Sure just last week Alex Pettyfer signed up for the same thing.

We'll keep you posted as regards news of the project and be sure to let you know when it gets a name.
