Indie feature film Fading Away is set to premiere at the Cork Film Festival this Saturday.

Fading away is a psychological horror, telling the story of Leila, the fearsome front-woman of a struggling rock band who has a die hard belief that her music will change the world. After meeting a mysterious mentor, she inadvertently wishes the iconic album 'Golden Boy' from the band Double Eagle - out of existence, leaving the music hers for the taking. As she struggles with her music, band and new love, her supernatural mentor proves to be a darker force than she realised.

The film stars Antonia Campbell Hughes in the role of Leila, with Kate Stanley Brennan, Emma Eliza Regan, Mark Huberman and Jerry Fish filling out the supporting roles.

The film, made by students from the Filmbase Msc. in Digital Feature Film Production will screen at the Gate Cinema at 8:45pm.
