Joe Carnahan burst onto the scene with the searingly visceral and quite brilliant Narc, before going more mainstream with Smokin' Aces and The A-Team movie. Since then he's received critical plaudits for helming Liam Neeson starrer The Grey, and he really wanted to tackle Daredevil next. But 20th Century Fox turned him down - even after seeing the below sizzle reel of what his Daredevil would feel like. Damn shame. I still like the Ben Affleck one, YEA I SAID IT!
