Good news for fans of 1990s nostalgia: a fourth installment in the 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' film franchise is reportedly on the way.

The 1997 original was a landmark for slashers, as Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt featured as a group of teenagers who find themselves stalked by a murderer after killing someone in a hit-and-run. The film was a huge success, earning $125 million at the box office.

It was followed by 1998's 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' and 2006's 'I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer', although the latter featured an entirely new cast. It also spawned a series on Amazon Prime.

Now, however, Prinze and Hewitt are reportedly in talks to reprise their roles for the fourth installment, with Sony confirmed to be moving forward with the sequel.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' writer Jennifer Kaityn Robinson is on board to direct.
