Hugh Jackman has been announced as the man who will host a revamped Oscars next year. Apparently, the organisers will be skewering the comedy, and going for more of a straight up presenting gig, with the odd musical number thrown in for good measure. Last year the brilliant/hilarious/all round genius Jon Stewart hosted, and did so very well - especially when you consider the writers strike ended only the week before hand. While David Letterman also hosted a few years back, and hilariously pissed of most of Hollywood with his irreverent gags; he still jokes about the "disaster" the gig was today. I personally think Stewart or Letterman should've been given another bash, or Ricky Gervais - but hey, if its song and dance numbers they want...
