Seeing as how Direct Provision is such a flashpoint in Ireland, a horror movie set inside Section 95 accommodation in the UK is grimly fascinating, as it's undoubtedly the best genre to explore it with.

'His House' sees a Sudanese couple, after escaping a violent war and surviving a desperate journey to England, being housed inside a squalid wreck that's managed by none other than Matt Smith. While things appear bleak for the couple - played by Wunmi Mosaku and Sope Dirisu - they're keen to make the best of things. Hope begins to fade, however, when strange occurrences give way to something much more sinister inside the house.

Initially premiering at Sundance earlier this year, Netflix snapped up the social horror pretty quickly and reviews so far for the movie have been pretty ecstatic. Currently, it's got a Rotten Tomatoes score of 100%, with the Guardian, The Playlist, and Variety all awarding it top marks.

Here's the trailer. 'His House' arrives on Netflix on October 30th.
