So it looks like they're about to take another beloved 80's franchise and attempt to reboot it. Rumour has it that Warner Bros is negotiating with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment to get the rights to cult classic Gremlins and bring it kicking and screaming into the 21st century. We're pretty sure they tried to do something similar with The Breakfast Club once but the project didn't even make it past development.

Vulture says this ain't the first time they've been in talks to reboot the movie. There have been a few meetings over the years but money and the need for Spielberg's involvement made things a bit tricky. Don't get too carried away though, it's very early days and there are no guarantees, but Vulture's sources are saying that it's looking like the reboot might deffo get the go ahead this time around.

We're not quite sure we're ready to see Gizmo and the gang get a makeover. Sure we were only saying that the best thing about Gremlins is the 80s style special effects. And the Snow White cinema scene, and the whole movie in general in fairness. We seriously do not need a bunch of new age Furbys on film now lads. Those CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruined enough precious childhood memories.

We'll be keeping a close eye on this one because in fairness, it could go either way; The Amazing Spiderman wasn't half bad after all. We just hope they know not to feed it after midnight and stay well away from the oul 3D...
