Darren Aronofsky is to direct George Clooney in the science fiction flick, Human Nature.
According to Vulture, Clooney will play a cryogenically frozen man who wakes up years after being slapped in the freezer to discover that humans have become pets of another species. Sounds almost Planet of the Apes-like. The script was written on spec in 1996 and has been doing the rounds in Hollywood for a long time. Clooney became attached a while back, while Aronofsky is looking for a post Black Swan film after being forced to pull out of Wolverine 2.
Hotshot producer Akiva Goldsman is apparently budgeting the film right now, but it's looking likely to be Aronofsky's next flick, with Clooney cemented to star.
