Gael Garcia Bernal has signed on to play former WBC welterweight champion, Roberto Duran in Hands Of Stone.
According to Variety, the Mexican actor will play the boxer, with Al Pacino being sought, and apparently considering playing his coach. Duran is famous for beating Sugar Ray Leonard, then losing to him in a rematch the same year. He took so much punishment in the second fight, he went back to his corner and famously uttered "no mas," meaning "no more."
The budget is a relatively small $15 million, so the part for Pacino would have to be very good for the legendary actor to consider it - but considering he is.
