Frank Berry's very well received documentary, Ballymun Lullaby, will have a special screening in LA - for some powerful Hollywood executives.

According to IFTN.ie, Frank won the 2011 Directors Finders Series, which means he'll get to screen his film to a specially invited room full of tinseltown heavyweight distributors, producers and executives. The winning director commented, "I am delighted to be given this incredible opportunity and to be presenting 'Ballymun Lullaby' at the Director’s Guild of America theatre on Sunset Boulevard." Ian Power secured US distribution for his film, The Runway, in the same way.  The doc follows music teacher Ron Cooney who heads a music programme in the well known working class Dublin estate, Ballymun. It premiered at JDIFF earlier this year to a great response from audiences.

Congratulations and best of luck to Frank Berry, a gentleman and an extremely talented filmmaker. Fingers crossed the film gets a deal.
